Robert Cenedella studied with George Grosz at the Art Student’s League of New York, and now teaches there. He established himself as a painter in NYC, where he has made his reputation as a satirical artist, exposing our social and political foibles in work that is barbed while also humorous and often boisterous. Mr. Cenedella’s work has been actively exhibited internationally, and was the subject of a recent retrospective held in Berlin at the Galerie Am Scheunenviertel in conjunction with the George Grosz Centennial Exhibition. Mr. Cenedella’s life and art are the subject of a forthcoming book and documentary film.
